This year seems to be a revolution in the fashion color schemes. The Fall of 2009 has been speculated to showcase hues more sophisticated yet less traditional; it’s the new shades of the neutrals that are been given more importance than the robust fluorescence of reds, purples, pinks and blues.
The Pantone Fashion Color Report (the most widely recognized color standard globally) for Fall 2008 provided a glimpse of a lot of things about to come, while this year, it featured the top 10 colors that are expected to rule women’s fashion. While the last year emphasized more on bridging the gap between mundane neutrals (beige and light gray were separated using lilac, purple or teal blue and so on), 2009 is going to see some warmer colors (e.g. reds, fuschia or soft pink) paired with honey-yellow, earthy orange or tangerine on metallic bases.
