Fashion Myths – Time to set right the norms

Not everything can be worn everywhere – we know that – but are we aware of the fact that a lot of things can be worn at a lot of places apart from where they are meant to be? Let’s have a look:

Firstly, it’s the myth about black that we must focus upon. Despite being a versatile color that also seems to reduce an otherwise bulky figure, not all complexions are suitable for black. Black, when close to the face (and the neck) is not the best choice for pale complexions; if you have an olive skin, it shall appear sallow at best. So, replace that with charcoal (or navy) while leave being concerned about draping your bottom half in black – even for wedding ceremonies, for a taboo color is not so unless you believe it to be.

However, you cannot wear black all the time but if you are on the bulky side, you need to look slimmer. So welcome the horizontal stripes (you read it right); contrary to the popular belief, they are as effective as the narrow, vertical stripes that are considerably apart.
